Ericsson appoints Rima Qureshi as chief strategy officer

By Sam Scott Rima Qureshi has been appointed senior vice president and chief strategy officer at Ericsson Group, a role that will see her drive the company’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy and activities. Qureshi brings nearly 30 years’ experience in the global telecommunications and IT industry, and will also serve as chairman of business unit modems for Ericsson. Mindshare UK head of mobile promoted to global mobile director

By John Glenday Mindshare UK’s head of mobile, James Chandler, has been promoted to the post of global mobile director as his remit expands to encompass the globe. The WPP owned media agency will not bring in a dedicated UK director to replace Chandler, with the role instead being subsumed into the wider global strategy. Chandler will oversee Mindshare’s regional experts to deliver mobile solutions and will head up the agency’s Mobile Garage initiative, a Google collaboration designed to aid clients seeking to harness mobile expertise. Camelot bets on international growth as CEO Dianne Thompson retires
