PayPal readies first global ad push and revamps brand image to promote its role in a 'people powered economy'

By Jessica Davies PayPal has revamped its brand identity ahead of kicking off its first global ad campaign as it looks to position itself as the consumer payment method of choice and at the forefront of what it calls a “people powered economy”. By Ishbel Macleod Facebook has announced the launch of its mobile advertising network, various rumours have suggested, with Facebook Audience Network (FAN) expected to allow advertisers the opportunity to distribute ads beyond news feeds, to third-party mobile applications. Sheryl Sandberg said FAN is in ‘early testing stages’ while the company announced its Q1 figures earlier in April, suggesting that the launch will “provide greater reach for marketers and developers who are working with Facebook, but also improve the relevance of ads people see both on and off Facebook”.
