Bauer Media signs up comedian Paddy McGuinness for Sunday show

The comedian’s three-hour Sunday Dinner morning show will go across all 16 stations in the Place portfolio of local radio services, including Liverpool’s Radio City, Glasgow’s Clyde 1 and Manchester’s Key 103. Lidl moves upmarket by switching from leafleting to TV spots

By John Glenday Discount supermarket chain Lidl has announced it is to ditch its practice of door-to-door leafleting to drum up business by focusing on a new £20m TV and social media campaign instead. Launching on Friday night the TBWA masterminded campaign will focus on propagating its #Lidlsurprises tagline to existing and prospective shoppers over the coming five to six months with images of happy shoppers picking up high-end items such as champagne, steak and cheese being beamed into people’s homes. Google ditches authorship tool and admits “it isn’t as useful as we hoped”

By Ishbel Macleod Google has ditched its authorship tool, admitting in a Google+ post that it “isn’t as useful to our users as we’d hoped”. Google authorship allowed journalists and bloggers to link their articles to their Google+ profiles, creating a ‘rich snippet’. Wyke Farms commences £1.2m autumn winter investment with TV commercial 'Ode to the Cow'

By Gillian West Wyke Farms has invested £1.2m into a cross-platform communications campaign as part of an autumn winter push which includes a new TV advert made by Ridley Scott’s commercial production company, RSA Films.
