By John McCarthy Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, a co-founder of file-sharing site the Pirate Bay, has been put behind bars for a period of three and a half years for stealing police and social security files. Warg was found guilty of hacking into the server of American tech giant CSC February 2012, where he, and an accomplice who walked free from the Danish court, were able to secure the sensitive data for a period of six months. Defence lawyers admitted the attack originated at one of Warg’s computers but denied he was behind the intrusion claiming that another hacker remotely accessed his device.
