Sir Patrick Stewart continues to make fun of himself in latest Strongbow ad

By Minda Smiley English actor Sir Patrick Stewart is once again poking fun at celebrity endorsements in his latest spot for Strongbow. In the ad, a voiceover states that the British cider brand “hired an award-winning actor to show off the award-winning range of Strongbow hard cider. But she cancelled, so we got this guy.” Stewart then appears on screen holding a Strongbow and indignantly argues that he’s won 37 individual awards, but the narrator still isn’t impressed. Snapchat ads will now be measurable via Nielsen

The move marks the first time the popular social media platform has enlisted a third party service to track its ad campaigns and will likely please marketers who have been trying to determine whether Snapchat is a worthwhile investment. WPP’s Mindshare restructures its North America senior leadership team

Simon replaces Colin Kinsella, who joined Mindshare from Digitas in 2013 and is now “leaving for other opportunities.” Previously, Simon served as president of GroupM Consulting.
