Tesco cans John West tuna lines in sustainability row as brand cull continues

By John McCarthy Tesco has removed select John West tuna products from its shelves, claiming the move is a result of the company failing to reach its sustainability targets. However, it also comes amidst a massive consolidation drive by Tesco to try and reduce the number of branded lines on its shelves. Last year, added-sugar drinks aimed at children (such as Ribena and Capri-Sun) fell victim to the brand cull. Facebook says ‘anti-spam systems’ blocked Wikileaks DNC emails following accusations of censorship

By Rebecca Stewart Facebook found itself once again at the centre of new bias accusations yesterday when Wikileaks accused it of “censorship” after users online claimed they were being prevented from sharing links to files containing internal Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails. In a series of tweets, the non-profit group which publishes otherwise secret information referred to allegations that Facebook users were being obstructed from posting links to the DNC email dump. Pornhub penetrated by hackers: Pays a bounty to protect your dirty data

By John McCarthy A hacking group has gained access to leading porn website Pornhub, highlighting an exploitation that can be made via the the site’s PHP coding. The brand paid out a bounty of $20,000 to cyber-security group Evonide for alerting it to the vulnerability back in June. In return, the group relinquished control of the site, choosing not to leak any data on users and their viewing habits, news which would be a relief to many no doubt (see Ashley Madison leak). Brexit-effect not felt by supermarkets (yet) but growth remains sluggish
