Aldi recalls biscuit products after mice are discovered at supplier

Aldi has been forced to recall several of its biscuit products due to possible “pest contamination” and “unhygienic conditions”.

The snacks, produced by Baketime, have been removed from sale with customers advised to return the following purchases: Aldi Cheese Thins, Aldi Cheese Bakes, Aldi Oddbites and Aldi Ginger Nuts.

Redcar and Cleveland Council, where the manufacturer is based, confirmed to Sky News that the pests were mice and that the move came following a council inspection.

The Food Standards agency issued the warning, saying the recall was a “precautionary mesaure”.
