The John Lewis Partnership, the parent organisation behind John Lewis and Waitrose, is expected to reveal profits of £370m on Thursday 6 March with analysts predicting the growth thanks to one of the most successful Christmas trading periods in its history.
During the festive period, John Lewis said December 23 was its busiest ever trading day and ended the season with a like-for-like sales growth of 6.9 per cent. Similarly, Waitrose reported a 3.1 per cent rise.
