The BBC iPlayer has reported a “record” January across its radio and TV offering after an increased uptake in mobile and tablet engagement made the service more accessible to viewers.
Since its launch in 2009, the BBC iPlayer last month received 343 million requests across its TV and radio streaming catalogue.

January also saw the highest recorded proportion of mobile devices accessing BBC services, sitting at 23 per cent – up from 18 per cent January 2014.
