BBC Scotland journalists are in a state of open rebellion at the broadcaster over tentative plans to introduce an early evening news bulletin dedicated to covering events north of the border.
Staff are angry that presently do not have the manpower or resources to handle the so-called ‘Scopttish Six’ and are threatening to boycott the project unless BBC Scotland controller Ken MacQuarrie agrees to a full consultation.
