Cisco has made the decision to remove all ads from YouTube to avoid them from featuring ‘accidentally’ around any unwarned or sensitive content.
A Cisco blog by Karen Walker, chief marketing officer, initially stated: “At Cisco, we would rather not wait for something bad to happen. While Google and Facebook have made some strides to combat the issue, at this time we have pulled all online advertising from YouTube until the platform has met our standards. But we continue to use it as a platform to share our video content.”
