Managing editor of Rolling Stone Will Dana is leaving the magazine just months after the publication pulled a controversial story about a gang rape at the University of Virginia.
The New York Times first reported his departure, stating that his last day will be 7 August and that he is not leaving for another job nor has his successor been named.
The magazine has been in turmoil since last November when it published an article titled ‘A Rape on Campus’ that detailed a gang rape at the University of Virginia that relied on a single source, a woman called Jackie.
