The former top marketer at Macmillan Cancer Support Hilary Cross has taken up a new role at The British Council, the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and education.
From January 2016 Cross will join the executive board as director of strategy and engagement, reporting to chief executive Sir Ciarán Devane. She will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction of its marketing, communications and external relations.
“I am extremely thrilled to be joining the British Council at a time when the impact and influence of cultural relations is becoming increasingly important across the world,” she said.
