Apple has requested a retrial of the Samsung patent case after a jury ordered the South Korean company to pay $119m (£71m) in damages for infringing two of its patents.
The iPhone giant, which had originally been seeking damages amounting to $2.2bn, is now pushing to attain the full sum and also seeking to permanently prevent Samsung from selling any device that has features similar to the ones it was found to infringe including “slide to unlock”, according to the BBC.
