The rousing film comes from media production company Iconoclast and ad agency Lucky Generals.
A new ad for Co-Op Live, shot on 35mm film, features the legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke. Known as The Bard of Salford, Cooper Clarke delivers a specially written verse celebrating the Manchester entertainment venue.
The collage-style ad is a nod to the city’s rich musical history, featuring venues such as the Salford Lads Club and familiar faces such as Happy Monday’s Rowetta. Each scene was shot in analog, and bleaching, cutting, and painting the film in the edit added to the texture.
