Eurosport looks to reshape its sports broadcasting with launch of virtual reality app

Eurosport has launched its own virtual reality app as the broadcaster looks to differentiate its coverage from rivals and to offer viewers a unique perspective on its sports coverage.

The Eurosport VR app launches ahead of this year’s coverage of Roland Garros and will feature daily highlights of the best matches, including ‘Shots of the Day’, and exclusive behind the scenes footage in VR.

Building on its earlier work with 360-degree cameras with Bode Miller at last winter’s Alpine Skiing World Cup Eurosport will also offer tennis fans a 360-degree on-court view of exclusive player interviews.
