The MTV VMAs took place last night and were packed with tweetable moments. Nielsen even said today that the the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards is the most Tweeted program since Nielsen Social began tracking Twitter TV activity in 2011.

The networks efforts in advance of the broadcast all seemed to pay off in what became one of the weirdest, entertaining and GIF-able awards show ever.
