Much of Houston, Texas remains submerged by the unprecedented rainfall left behind by the destructive Hurricane Harvey earlier this week, with nine confirmed deaths at the time of publication.
As a result, bastions of corporate America have queued up to make generous donations to bolster aid proceedings.
Apple, Amazon, Walmart, PepsiCo, JP Morgan, Jefferies, Intercontinental Exchange, Home Depot, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Citi Foundation, Chevron and Cheniere Energy all donated in excess of $1m to relief efforts. Some companies went above and beyond, using their infrastructure and services to bring about a return to normality in Houston.
