The Twitter community has paid tribute to cricketer Philip Hughes who died aged 25 after being struck on the head with a ball.
The Australian was in intensive care for two days after the incident which occurred while he was batting for South Australia against New South Wales in Sydney.
To pay tribute to the player, over 100,000 Twitter users around the world took part in the #putoutyourbats social media campaign. As its name suggests, the cricket community come together in a touching act of respect by putting their bats outside.
