Animated children’s TV staple Peppa Pig is edging towards $2bn in revenue as it continues to perform admirably on a global scale.
The show from media company Entertainment One, which distributes the likes of Spotlight and The Hunger Games, made $1.1bn in retail sales in the year ending March 2016.
With 500 new TV deals inked during this period, the show continues to grow, and Giles Willits, Entertainment One’s chief financial officer, claims this will reach as high as $2bn between three to five years.
