Enterprising drug dealers in Rio de Janeiro are seeking to capitalise on next month’s Olympic Games by appropriating the events official logo and emblazoning it on packets of cocaine to seize the tourist market.
In addition to displaying the five interlocking rings and ‘Rio 2016′ logo the packets also carry an ironic ‘not for use near children’ warning.
News of the illicit marketing push filtered out following a drugs bust by local police in the Lapa bar district in which 93 packets of Cocaine sporting the logo were seized, alongside 28 bags of crack and ammunition.
