Mikael Hed is to leave Angry Bird’s maker Rovio Entertainment after five years at the helm with Pekka Rantala to take on the role from January 1 2015.
Chairman of the board, Kaj Hed, has nominated the outgoing CEO for a board of directors position with Mikael Hed appointed as chairman of Rovio Animation Studios, where he will oversee animation and movies.
Between now and January Mikael Hed and Rantala will be working closely to ensure a smooth transition, with Rantala bringing more than 20 years’ worth of international leadership within branded consumer products in various industries to the role. Read full story ›
