Yahoo-owned Tumblr has appointed Stephanie Dolgins as its first chief marketing officer.

In the new role, Dolgins will oversee brand and consumer marketing, communications, media partnerships, and content and community development.

Jeff D’Onofrio, president and COO of Tumblr, said: “Stephanie is an extraordinary addition to the Tumblr family. Stephanie has a proven track record in driving marketing and content for new technology and media companies, and she exemplifies Tumblr’s core values of creativity and passion.”

She joins from her own marketing consultancy company, Dolgins & Company, where her clients included CNN, Refinery29, and Verve.
