Walmart’s US chief marketing officer, Stephen Quinn, is to retire in January after more than 10 years with the firm.
In light of the move, the retailer has announced that former Target marketing executive, Michael Francis, will join as a consultant at the start of 2016.
Most recently chief global brand officer at Dreamworks, Francis served at Walmart’s rival for 26 years, and has also held the post of president at JCPenney.
