X-Factor announcer Peter Dickson has announced he is to quit the musical talent contest he has voiced since its inception in 2004.

Announcing his move on Twitter Dickson tweeted to his fans: “After the best 11 years with the X Factor, it’s time for me to check out and cut loose.”
