Sky is considering removing its Now TV on-demand streaming service from YouView, according to the Telegraph.
YouView, a free service which was jointly launched in 2012 by telecom firms BT, TalkTalk and Arqiva, and broadcasters BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, provides viewers access to terrestrial and catch-up content via set top box.
However, Sky faces an annual bill of £250,000 to integrate Now TV, a streaming service providing non-paying TV viewers access to limited Sky content, with YouView.
Meanwhile Sky is also reportedly unhappy at the lack of progress YouView has made to accommodating NowTV’s live-streaming features on the platform.
